The Atlanta Academy Admission Process

In order to apply your child to The Atlanta Academy for the 2010-2011 school year, you will need to submit the following:

PRESCHOOL (3’s, 4’s, and Young 5’s)

1. 1.A completed Application Form (Please indicate if you are interested in the Half Day or Full Day Program for the 3’s.  Priority will be given to Full Day students.)
   

2. 2.A $75 Application Fee
   

3. 3.A copy of your child’s birth certificate and immunization record.
   

4. 4.Applicants for the Young 5’s program will require an interview and readiness testing. This will be scheduled   after application has been received.
   

KINDERGARTEN

1. 1.A completed Application Form
   

2. 2.A $75 Application Fee
   

3. 3.Kindergarten Checklist Form
   

4. 4.A copy of your child’s birth certificate and immunization record.
   

  When your child’s application is complete, you will be contacted to schedule a time for admissions testing

  and interview. 

GRADES 1 - 8

1. 1.A completed Application Form
   

2. 2.$75 Application Fee
   

3. 3.Teacher Recommendation Form filled out by your child’s current teacher. Please mail or fax to The Atlanta Academy.
   

4. 4.Transcript Release and Confidentiality Form signed by you should be given to your child’s current school. Please mail or fax to The Atlanta Academy.
   

5. 5.A copy of your child’s birth certificate and immunization record.
   

When your child's application is complete, you will be contacted to schedule a time for admissions testing and interview.  If your son/daughter is applying to 5th through 8th grade and has taken the SSAT, you may submit these scores. An interview will still be required. You may find out more information on the SSAT by visiting www.ssat.org.

Applications for the 2010-2011 school year are due by February 19, 2010 (Deadline Extended - Spaces available in some grades. Please call for additional information).  Response letters will be mailed on April 2, 2010.
