Atlanta Academy Intramurals

We believe that athletics are about more than just staying active. Our athletic programs, from physical education to intramurals, empower young students to think critically, work as a team, and encourage others beyond the classroom.

Students in Physical Education

Developing Skills and Building Character through Intramural Sports

At Atlanta Academy, we believe that athletics play a vital role in a child's overall development. Being part of a team teaches young students essential life skills such as cooperation, collaboration, leadership, and patience. Our athletics program is designed not only to improve performance but also to promote character growth and foster a strong sense of school spirit.

While our competitive MAAC League programs begin in Middle School, younger students have the opportunity to engage in sports through our exciting intramural league. This program allows lower school students to participate in structured, friendly competition, providing them with a foundation in fundamental sports skills. Weekly scheduled games create an environment where students can learn, have fun, and be cheered on by friends and family from the sidelines.

The intramural league offers a fantastic way for young athletes to build confidence, develop teamwork, and enjoy the thrill of playing sports in a supportive and encouraging setting.

Building Positivity and School Spirit with Gladiator Cheerleading

At Atlanta Academy, our Gladiator Cheerleading program was created with three key goals in mind: positivity, teamwork, and school spirit. This program is designed to teach students how to uplift and encourage their peers both on and off the field. Through learning chants, jumps, and minor stunts, our cheerleaders develop essential skills in coordination and performance, all while fostering an environment of encouragement and support.

Cheerleading offers students a unique opportunity to build confidence, work as a team, and promote school pride, all while having fun and staying active. By participating in the program, students not only learn the fundamentals of cheer but also gain valuable life lessons in leadership, cooperation, and positivity.
